We have packed three of our favorite fruits in this very refreshing summer salad – watermelon, mango and avocado. The salad is very easy to make and is very nutritious. The great thing about this salad is that it doesn’t require any special dressing. Tastes great as is. We added a little bit of lemon juice for a nice citrusy summer flavor. We used fresh cilantro at the end but you can also try fresh basil or mint.
The steps are simple and you will be done in 10 minutes. Simply cut watermelon, mango and avocado into cubes. Squeeze half a lemon or lime, sprinkle some fresh cilantro and some pepper and salt. Give it a quick toss and it is ready.

It’s a great salad to bring to a potluck or a picnic or serve at a barbecue. Ideally, you want to serve the salad immediately, otherwise, the avocado will start to brown. To prevent that, cut avocado last and add it just before serving. Or pack your cut avocado in an air-tight ziplock bag, minimizing its contact with surrounding air.
